Processed Datasets¶
The most important data in the project will be packaged and stored on the Data Library's repository, with the tag 'sez'. You can list these datasets here:
Useful Datasets¶
- UNCTAD SEZ database. This is an excellent dataset, with a broad collection of features, including tax rates, exemptions, distance to airports, legal constrains, and many other fields.
- A Harmonized nighttime lights dataset. GeoTIFF are downloadable here.
Other Night Light Datasets¶
- NASA Night Lights. (VIIRS?) Appears to be monthly, but the data is in HDF5, so requires programming to use.
- NOAA DMSP Nighttime lights. Only three years, 1992, 2000 and 2009
- MODIS landcover. Might be a useful addition to the nighttime lights.
SEZ Datasets¶
Boundary Data¶
The following datasets are from a Berkely geoserver, which requires a login to download, but the Web Feature Service is open. Click on Web Services in the right side menu, and load the WFS urls in to QGis.

Other data ideas:
- Urban Extents
